Welcome to the Hunger Games
You live in the country of Panem which is geographically located where the countries of the USA, Mexico, and Canada once were. Now, parts of the old continent of North America are underwater and other parts have been ravaged by natural disasters. The face of the country looks very different than it did in 2010.
Self sufficient, every District in Panem is required to provide for the Capitol first and, then, themselves. Times are lean indeed for most inhabitants but most make do. As part of your daily life, your family lives in fear that you or your siblings might be picked to participate in the Hunger Games.
