  • Research a what a person (who is not in school/getting an education) would be doing in you/your groups region.
  • What do they eat for breakfast? When do the leave for work? What kind of work is it? What about lunch? etc etc etc.
  • In essay form, describe the entire day of a man or woman, picking an age over "school aged."
    • If you are in a group, each member is responsible for their own essay.
Task #3: The Capitol has asked you to create a propaganda campaign highlighting why the Hunger Games should be brought to your District. They are asking for information on your District (from industry to natural occurrence (weather, geographical phenomenon (mountains, lakes etc), and landmarks) to regional cuisine etc) which will help them decide if they can hold the games in your District in the future. Keeping in mind that the Games will be telecast to every person in Panem, create a form of media campaign that would prompt the Capitol to consider your district. Media can include but are not limited to (and completed project must include):
    • television/short film (include script with dialog, stage cues, and setting)
    • radio (include script)
    • print or pictorial advertisement in newspaper, magazine, pamphlet or billboard (include mock up)
    • song/rap (include lyrics and/or sheet music, if applicable)
    • essay
    • poem
    • please see Miss O'Connell for approval on any other idea that would allow you to express to the Capitol why the games should come to your District
You will be asked to present your final project from this task as if you were presenting to the officials of the Capitol as your audience.

Task #4: As always, the Capitol and the Gamemakers, the men and women who control the Games, are changing up the rules. They have decided that from now on the District which hosts the Games will not have to hand over their two tributes (one girl and one boy who participate in the Games). The hosting District will not have to contribute to the Capitol for one calendar year.

    • Knowing the background of your District (from reading Hunger Games and your internet research), write an essay (one paragraph minimum) describing how you, your family, and the other inhabitants will be effected if the Games are held in your District?
